Lately I feel as if I’m either going completely insane or I’m finally coming to my senses. Mostly I feel the latter, although I am sure there are those who would disagree.
Just listen, just trust, I keep reminding myself.
Last night I worked on a metaphorical self portrait. It is part of the first lesson in Barbara Nigg’s class, “The Self Portrait Experience” at 21 Secrets. My experience with this self portrait was unlike any I have ever done before. Once completed, this image reflected back to me thoughts that have been running through my head for several months now.
My definition of self has changed. I am embracing the light within.
May you too look into the mirror of truth and see this brilliant light within yourself.
Love & Blessings,
Jeniffer

I just let go and created something new in my own Self Portrait Art Journal…was feeling pretty insane NOT at all coming to my senses! : ) And I wonder…why do I take so long to do what I love, to see what I need to see? Thanks so much for sharing your experience with the “Metaphorical Me” assignment! I love that light shining within you!

Funny how we relate letting go with insanity. It really should be the other way around. Thank you for the inspiration behind this piece!

This is wonderful and very inspiring. I have been holding back on the Self Portrait Experience and not sure where to begin. This gives me ideas on what direction to take. Thanks for sharing!
