Inspiring Artist: Noah Hutchins

I had originally not scheduled an artist interview for this week.  With the 4th being a holiday here in the States I thought I’d keep the date free.  In a last minute decision, I have changed my mind and am posting a day early.

What changed it? A conversation I had with my son, Noah -self proclaimed ARTIST. I decided to turn my interview questions into a child friendly version and see what he’d have to say. Honestly, I thought it might just be cute.  After he shared his definition of “Art” with me, I knew I had to share it with you.

Without further ado I’d like to introduce you to my little artist, Noah.

What is your name?

Noah Dylan Hutchins

How old are you?

Three

What do you like?

Um, I like that train (points to toy train.)

What else do you like?

I like ALL TRAINS!!!

Do you like art?

mm hmm

What is art?

Art is EVERYTHING!!!

“Everything” like what?

Everything like God.

Art is everything like God is everything?

mm hmm

(pause for mommy gushing and a BIG hug)

What kind of art do you like doing?

Train Art

(How quickly he turns back to trains!)

Thank you for sharing with us Noah.

Bye-Bye

Glad you all enjoyed his interview. I know I’m a bit biased, but I think he’s just awesome!

I love it! I got goosebumps when I read his definition of art. My (almost) 3 year old son loves trains, too, and making art with mommy. <3

Lisa that’s great that your son likes to make art with you too! And you gotta love little boys and their fascination with trains : )
