I keep several journals. Sometimes I create a combination of words and imagery and other times just write pages of text. Journals serve as a quick creative outlet. It is a way to release thoughts or work through ideas.
My son, Noah (2) has even started keeping his own “visual journals.” It is interesting to notice his choice of colors and how his use of the materials can change from day to day. For me it is proof that keeping a journal is a valuable and insightful tool no matter what our age.
Here is Noah’s most recent entry done in my personal journal.
