Saying YES can change your life.

I have this super cool perpetual flip calendar full of Wayne Dyer quotes sitting on my desk. (Thank you to my sister-in-law, Heather!) Today’s message really resonated with me and I wanted to share it along with a little story to emphasize it’s truth.

“Remember this simple truth: The answer to how is yes. You may never know exactly how you’re going to accomplish the feeling of inspiration, but by saying yes to life and all that calls you, the how will take care of itself.” -Wayne Dyer

Often times our own dreams are simply waiting to burst forth into expression in our lives. It is at the moment that we say YES and follow our intuition, our desires and our passions that we allow them to come true.  

Here is a story about a friend of mine, Rose Firestone who is now living her dream of being an artist all because she said YES!

About five years ago, Rose told me she always wanted to be an artist, but believed she could not draw or paint. I told her she could -because I truly believe we are all artists. She insisted she could not, I insisted she could and so on. Our conversation eventually came to a close, but something had shifted in her personal belief system. She began to think that just maybe she could.

As a birthday gift to herself that year, she signed up for her very first ever painting lesson. I had the honor of being her instructor! By the end of the three hour class she was amazed at her own progress. “I did that,” she kept repeating in disbelief.  

We continued to work together for a while and now she is a non stop painting machine!  She is painting so much that her home has become an art gallery. Every wall is filled with her own unique artwork.

Her dream of being an artist began to manifest the moment she committed to her first class.  She is now living her dream.  Her art is hanging in a gallery along the coast and she participates in annual art fairs. All because she said YES! (and of course I couldn’t be more proud of her!)
