I had a wonderful time at Art of the Carolinas this weekend. It was great to see so many artist friends I haven’t seen in years.
Here I am with Ophelia Staton. Ophelia took her first Visual Journal class with me over three years ago. Now she is teaching her own classes in journaling and was even asked to demo at this HUGE event! I’m so proud of her! If you haven’t already read my interview with her, be sure to check it out here.
I also participated in a workshop instructed by Robbert Burridge titled “loose and juicy landscapes.” It was as much fun as it sounds!
I’ve been thinking about how to fuse the techniques / ideas of my landscape painting and my collage work. This class helped me to see how I can make it happen. Time to start playing… I mean working. I love my job!
Here’s what I did at the workshop.
