As we pursue our dreams we all take one step at a time. Sometimes those steps are itty bitty behind the scenes tiptoes that no one else notices. Some are back row synchronized movements with a group. Other times we take wild flying leaps and land front and center stage.
We are all dancers on the stage of life. There may be among you more graceful dancers, and others who relate more to a wild interpretive style.
Wherever you are in your dance toward your dreams, know that it is perfect. You are perfect exactly where you are, exactly as you are. Each step toward your dream, each movement is a part of the whole that will eventually lead to completion. All you need to do is show up and dance the dance presented to you in your current role. There will come a time when the dance will end, the curtain will fall and you will come out for one grand and final bow.

In my own dance toward my dreams, I have begun practicing new steps. Over the past year, I have been giving inspirational talks at local churches and spiritual centers. I’m going to be honest here, because I am all about authenticity, at first I was scared. Getting up in front of a room full of people I did not know felt intimidating. When I first stood on that platform, I had doubts of my own capabilities run through my head. But, I did it anyway! Yes, I felt fear, and I danced right into it. You know what? It felt wonderfully freeing! As an added bonus, I had a great time sharing my message.
These days I am speaking more frequently. With each talk delivered I am also experiencing more confidence and pure joy for the opportunity to both be a teacher and a student as I continue to learn.
