Commitment

“Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation) there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: That the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. All sorts of things occur that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no (human) could have dreamed would come his way.” – Goethe –

This quote perfectly sums up my life experiences lately. There is no other logical explanation for it all: The apparent “coincidences” that lead me to the right place at the right time, “accidentally” meeting people who have turned out to play a big role in my life, selling more paintings the moment I start painting again. It is not coincidence, it is Universal Law!

Are you ready to make a commitment to yourself? What dreams do you wish to allow unfold in your life?

I’m not sure whether I’m “finding” more people who think like me, or whether I’m just heading down the paths that are traveled by people who think like me, or whether the number of people who think like me are growing, but I have to tell you how fortunate I feel reading your words and knowing there are more and more out there who actually understand that there are no coincidences and that it is the Universe in action!! Thank you!

Peggy, I know exactly how you feel!!! I think your question is the answer. It is the Universe in action! You are “finding” more people who think like you because you are thinking more like you, and therefore the number of people thinking like you is also growing!! I’m so glad you have found your way here as well! (No coincidence for sure)
      Love,

I know a lot of artists and textile artists but since I started art journalling I have only just begun to find people who are on my new wavelength. I wish I could remember how I got into art journalling in the first place. Its not that long ago. It might even have been when I took that class of yours Jeniffer – the first online class I ever took. Perhaps from you I began to learn more about art journalling and then the yoga class started up in my village and at the same time I found a book on mindfulness. The three things happened separately but are so connected and I can’t imagine life without any of them. I have built up some lovely friendships on line now and I suppose because its part of my life I may mention these things to people I meet only to find they too are beginning to look at life as I am. Sadly I still haven’t met anyone in the UK apart from on line that do art journalling but like everything else, it must only be a matter of time.

Christine, I love hearing how synchronicity has worked in your life. And I’m so deeply honored to be one of the catalysts for the positive change in your life! Keep sending out your creative vibe and I’m sure the art journalers will present themselves to you shortly. Perhaps you could start introducing people to the concept yourself?

In 2009 I took in and “pseudo adopted” an 18 year old boy, a friend of my son’s (I have 3 kids of my own). He took so much work and energy to get his life back on track. In 2010 I had my gallbladder removed in January and spent months being sick and the rest of the year recovering from the chaos that occured while mom was down and out. In 2011 I told my family this year it would be “all about me”. I converted one room to be my studio, I’ve taken art classes and forced myself out of my comfort zone, I’ve met wonderful women through mixed media resources and I am officially calling myself an artist instead of “just a crafter”. I am constantly finding new avenues to pursue that lead me down a path I’ve been long gone from and I’m loving the connections I’m making. I have given of myself to everyone for 47 years, and I’m enjoying giving to myself for a change. Happy creating ladies.

Big HUGE hugs to you for allowing yourself the time for YOU! You absolutely deserve it. By you allowing yourself to experience the joys of creativity you are bringing more JOY into the lives of others as well.
