Come On Out

This painting began on site, plein air style.  With my easel set up on a bridge crossing Lake Johnson I tried to capture the glorious light as the sun rose.  I quickly learned however, that I could not keep up with shifting colors of the rising sun.  And so, the image was brought back to the studio for completion.
