Abstract
Today’s entry is a testament to the importance of trusting your own intuition.
Last night I completed the video portion of another workshop at 21 SECRETS. (It’s not too late to register and I am speaking from the bottom of my heart when I say you do not want to miss this opportunity. Click the link and see what I’m talking about.) Anywho, the class I took was “Abstract Adventures” instructed by the creator and host of 21 SECRETS, Connie Hozvicka. Her videos were so fun and energetic. I could not wait to get started.
My assignment: Create a Fearless ™ abstract painting in a large art pad.
I don’t have a ginormous journal yet, so I put a big ol canvas on my easel. I got all loose, got my paints out, and got ready to roll. Then all of a sudden an image popped into my head.
I tried to fight it. I tried to reason with my inner self… “hey there, I can’t paint that, I’m supposed to do an abstract painting.” Then I remembered Connie’s words telling me to “Trust your instincts!”
I trusted, I let go, and I and let this painting emerge as it wanted to. I am so happy that I did.
Maybe another day I will paint a large abstract. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Love & Blessings,
Jeniffer
