Found Stories

Get your pens ready!  “Found Stories,” a writing workshop with Melissa Goslin Collins is coming to the fall retreat “Reawaken Creative Dreams.”

“Found Stories”

Instructed by writer, Melissa Goslin Collins

Your story already exists in the Universe, and this workshop will help you find it! We will collect, alter and reassemble the words around us, letting our own, unique voices emerge in the process.

Melissa’s own humorous writing proves that our stories do already exist in our lives… even in family road trips!  This was the inspiration behind a recent column she wrote for The Fayetteville Observer.

“Somewhere in all the checked luggage, tray tables and eternal layovers of the past few years, I had forgotten about the blissful dysfunction of family road trips. Nineteen hundred and fifty-six miles later, I am exhausted, elated and eternally thankful that we all made it out of the truck alive.”  Read the rest of the story here.

Oh a writing workshop too!! My own writing has recently been re-awakened… This sounds fab. Still waiting for those waves to part. Meanwhile I am definitely going to check out your blog Melissa. Like Christi – I wish you every joy during Jeniffer’s retreat. So wish I could be there. Jeniffer…. couldn’t you get Mr Tech to fix up a webcam link for us overseas enthusiasts :))))

Christine, you just opened up a whole NEW idea! Hmmm… I’m going to have to brain storm it with Dan. Right away I’m thinking “if not a webcam, maybe a video?” I’ll definitely let you know if anything comes out of the conversation.

Oh yes…. a video – better than a web cam which would be running whilst I am tucked up in bed. Well, if you need any more help…. lol!!!

I’m still thinking of ways to make this work. Mr. Tech (aka my hubby Dan) will be at home with Mr. Trains (aka my son, Noah). Not sure if my own tech / video skills are good enough to get this set up properly. 🙂 I’ll keep you posted!
