The Joy of Being

During my “lunch break” I headed outside.

I laid on our hammock under a giant pine tree

and took in the beauty of the spring day.

I listened to the crackling sound the wind made

as it rustled the pine branches.

I enjoyed the chours of birds singing their different songs.

I watched two dragonfiles dance across the yard.

I was calm and I was peace.

This is the Joy of Being.

Not doing, not planning, not worrying about anything.

Simply Being…

and it is beautiful.
