Image Transfers

Two weeks into my online workshop and I have four pieces completed. Six more in process! This was apparently the motivation I needed to make more time for my art. It is amazing that when I actually have some sort of deadline, even if it’s self imposed, how much work I can get done. Most of the time I have been utilizing is in the evenings after Noah goes to bed. Although, admittedly there have been some nights that by the time he is finally asleep I am just about ready for bed myself.

This week I’ve been working with the process of image transferring. I have been using photographs I’ve taken and transferring them onto the painted backgrounds done last week. It is bringing a different element to my usual approach to collage work. The process itself is quite time consuming and labor intensive, but definitely fun to play around with. Here are a few examples of what I’ve done with the process.

Your work is inspiring, beautiful and so unique…I love it! I’m going to go browse through your Etsy site. Another thing I totally adore…the inspirational quotes. So many wonderful reminders about life and our purpose here. Are you a fan of Dr. Wayne Dyer? He’s one of my very favorite authors and speakers…have a great night!

I actually have a daily inspirations calendar sitting on my desk filled with Dr. Wayne Dyer’s incredible words of wisdom : ) I look forward to reading a new quote every morning!
    Many blessings,
