Do you like to dip your toes in a pool to adjust to the temperature, or, are you the type of person who dives right in? Taking risks in our lives often feels like diving in the deep end of a cold pool. It can be both exciting and terrifying all at once. The first step is commitment. Then you build up momentum. Eventually you get to a point where there is no turning back. You jump, dive in and hit the cold water with a whoosh.
There is a feeling of invigoration and renewed sense of power when you take risks. Taking risks can lead you closer to your passions, to deeper relationships, to greater success and to an awareness of something larger than yourself at play in your life. When you dive in towards your dreams, that something seems to move your dreams closer toward you. The trick is, it is not always in the way you had imagined. When you jump be prepared for the unexpected. Trust the journey. Trust that the current knows where it is taking you.
