Day Trip

Sometimes stillness and personal reflection is exactly what we need.  Other times we feel like being a part of the crowd.

This weekend I spent some time in downtown Kansas City.  I was surprised by the beautiful architecture and abundance of water fountains.

Oooh thanks for these photos – I love to see pictures of different cities around the world. I do agree with what you say. I spend a lot of time searching out peace and harmony but there is a big part of me that craves the city with it’s wonderful geometric and repeat patterns that are everywhere. I’m lucky that I live in the countryside but am only 30 minutes from the city so I can get a fix whenever I like and then retreat back to my haven. I love the buildings in your photos… oh my, I could spend some time there with my sketchbook. It’s pages would be bulging with patterns by the end of the day. And still the sky is so blue!!

I wish I had thought to take my sketchbook with me. At least I had my camera handy. Sketches may come another day.
