Beginning again

Somehow Wishcasting slipped through my Wednesday to do list.  Hopefully wishes still count on Thursday.  Jamie Ridler’s question this week is “What do you wish to say yes to?”

I WISH to say YES to NEW BEGINNINGS.  I wish to TRUST the INTERNAL GUIDANCE forever leading me on my journey.  I wish to LEAD others towards their OWN LIGHT.

My own journey took a dramatic turn about 3 years ago.  Those who know me know the details.  Somehow that turn felt like a turn away from Truth.  I stopped listening to my inner voice as I put my life on auto pilot for a while.  Then, just recently and just as suddenly, I turned again.  Thankfully,  this time the turn was inwardly navigated and chosen.  I feel like I am back on track.

What’s incredible is that I am seeing so many other people on the road with me again.  They are people close to me like my husband, Dan and others who I have only met online.  One of my online connections, Connie Hozvicka of Dirty Footprints Studio posted a blog entry (read here) that felt as though we were walking the path side by side although we have never met.  It felt magical to read her words.  I hope that my story, my art, my work will prove to be magic in the lives of someone else as well.  We are all connected in ways deeper than we often believe.

Part of the strange thing about writing  a blog is not knowing who is reading it.  Yet, there are these thoughts, ideas, personal bits of inspiration that I feel compelled to share in this format.  I know I have a few family members out there following my thoughts, “Hi, Barbara and Judy,” but I am unaware of every set of eyes that these words reach.  There may be a few personal friends, fellow artists, former students, and perhaps others who I have never physically met.  But, you know this already.

After all, this is a blog.  It is posted online where anyone in the world can read it.  Of course I will not know everyone and that is the point.  That is the power of words.  To share stories with others near and far.  The thing is, I feel like I have something important to share.  I believe that my personal experiences can help inspire others.  I’ve been on (am on) a personal, spiritual journey towards living life fully and authentically.  It is my heartfelt goal that through the outlets of words, art and teaching I can inspire others to live their lives in the brightest light.

I don’t think she’d mind! As you wish for yourself, I wish for you also!

I just wanted to say “hi” back! You inspire me every day, so in a small way, your wish has already come true. But in a larger sense, I am truly thankful that you are a gentle, loving presence in our lives and I know that others are touched and inspired by your blog. So, thank you for being the beautiful light in our world that you are!
