Be willing to be you

“At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.” -Lao Tzu

Be willing to change. Be willing to listen. Be the strength you are. Know your perfection exactly where you are. As you allow that change from within, you open the door to receive the next thing coming to you.

Wear what you want to wear. Be who you want to be. Never allow others opinions, trends or beliefs to interfere with yours. You can say, do and be what ever you want. Allow yourself to be uninhibited by others expectations.

You are not limited. Be limitless for that is your true self. Be unbounded by past beliefs. It is time for a new set of rules, a new set of beliefs based within yourself.

Your approval and acceptance comes from within. Know yourself. Know when you are doing something that feels right. Don’t worry about what others think is right or think is best. You know. You already know. You just need to trust yourself. Allow yourself to fully be “you.”

*I came across the above writing in one of my old journals today. I was compiling text for my book. The original entry date was March 5, 2007 almost exactly four years ago. Coincidence? Yeah, I didn’t think so either.

So, who do you want to be? Try using this as a prompt in your own journal. If you want to share, simply add a link to your own blog post in the comment space below.

P.S. I just had to share this experience with you. Right after publishing this post I hopped over to read the Daily Word. Synchronicity abounds today! What encouraging words to read as I was just working on a book so that I can share my own story.

My Story
I am writing the story of my life.

When I read a book or an article, I am often reading the story of someone’s life experience. People suffer losses, celebrate victories and make life-changing decisions. I learn from their stories.

In the same way, I tell my own story by the way I live and by the choices I make. My story may be one of courage, of kindness or of creativity. Perhaps my life inspires others to greater achievement. Each day of my life, I add a page to my story. If I want to begin a fresh chapter, I am free to begin anew.

I am a co-author with God. Trusting God’s indwelling Spirit, I begin each day eager to see what will happen on this page of my journey.
