A Year in the Making

“Warm Breeze” 24″x36″ Oil Painting on Gallery Wrap Canvas

Painting complete. I am beyond excited right now. First of all, I LOVE how this piece came out. When I look at it I can actually feel a warm breeze blowing over me. Can you feel it?

Me doing a little happy dance in my studio.

The second reason why I am so excited right now is that this painting has been a process in the making for just about a year now. I began it last spring. In fact if you read the article on me in the “City View” magazine last year, you might recognize this painting. It was on my easel at the time.

Unexpectedly, the completion of this piece is stirring up a lot of emotions inside of me. It represents more than just a peaceful landscape. This is the first large scale, landscape, oil painting I have completed since 2007. My life began a huge transformation that year. It was the year my son was conceived, my mother passed and we moved to a new town.

I feel like this painting is my butterfly released from a tight cocoon, freed from it’s previous life and limitations. Somehow it’s completion represents my acceptance of the unfoldment of my own beautiful wings. May they continue to carry me gracefully through this amazing life.

Love & Blessings,
Jeniffer
